Abby is 2 months old!

We went to Abby's 2 month dr. appointment yesterday and she is did a great job. Dani made friends with the receptionist and she gave her a popcicle and some stickers.
Abby is smiling a lot these days. She is such a cutie!

She got 3 shots and she cried great big tears when she got them. It was so sad, I almost cried too.

It's cold outside!

This is a picture of Dani's favorite icicle. She checks on it every day. She always says "hold it" and she wants us to take her outside so she can touch it. Our whole back porch is a huge sheet of ice right now from all of the dripping icicles. Dani freaks out if we try to get her to walk on it.
When Dani gets tired of being locked up in the house with her boring mom she starts bringing me her hat then her shoes then her gloves and coat and so on. Hint - hint....lets go somewhere!

"Twinkle Star"

Hint: It will be easier to hear this if you pause the music down at the bottom of the blog. Dani hasn't quite gotten the words to the whole song down bud she knows the "twinkle star" part very well. You will also get to see how she takes every toy out of her room and spreads them all over the family room when I am feeding Abby. (I was feeding Abby when I taped this)

Cute Abby

I tried to get a video of Abby cooing and smiling because she does both of those things a lot but she is a little camera shy so this is what we got.

Hungry bear!

Yesterday morning Dani was playing with her bears and she kept going over to Heston asking him to take her jammies off. Then she kept saying "bear...hungy" We were like what in the world does she want? Then we realized that she was trying to nurse her bear! The next thing we knew she had all of her clothes off and she was "feeding" both of her bears saying "bear hungy" over and over. Not that she has ever seen anyone strip down to nurse their baby before.
TWINS!

Then the bear needed a "bathy"

Story time!

Dani loves to read in her room! She pulls every book out of her book shelf and sits in the pile of books while she looks through every book. She will sit there for 30-45 minutes at a time just looking through her books. Her new dolly talks and one thing that she says is "tell me a story" so Dani took the doll seriously and went ahead and read her about 20 stories. I wonder if the dolly will ever ask for a story again?

This video is a little lengthy but if you have the time and want to watch it...it's pretty cute. You will get a little taste of how Dani always has a task in her head that she is trying to accomplish. She is a busy little girl!

Little Abby

Grandma Welker made this beautiful quilt for Abby and gave it to her for Christmas.
Our tired little baby girl.

Abby is even a proper little lady while she sleeps.

Our little Snow angel!

We tried to make a snowman today but the snow was too dry and powdery. So instead Dani made a snow angel and ate a bunch of snow.

She tried to lay back down in her angel but she missed it by a little bit. Then she got snow all over her face and she kept saying "whiskers!" After that she was ready to go inside!

Lots of SNOW!!!

We got a bunch of snow in the last 2 days! It is so beautiful to look at out of our windows. Dani loves playing in the snow but she doesn't usually last for very long. She always wants to eat it too. We are planning on making a snowman if we can find some gloves for Dani. Any of you who want to make a trip up to play in the snow just let me know. We have an extra bed and I love to have house guests!

Ring-around-the-rosies

This will be easier to hear if you pause the music at the bottom of the page.

Dani was really hurting for attention on New Years weekend. She did have to share some attention with Sophie on Sunday and Abby. Dani loves playing "rosies" She has to get EVERYONE in the room to play before she is satisfied and she always says "again" right after everyone falls down. We had a lot of fun playing games with the Welkers, Stahleckers, Sandersons, and Crandells. Thank you all for the fun!

Abby's blessing

We blessed Abby on December 30th. It was a beautiful blessing and we were blessed to have a lot of family come to support us. My Mom and Dad were here for Christmas and Tiffany was too. Heston's Mom and Dad came and so did Grandma Howard, Dustin, Amanda, Sophie, Tara, Ben, Lacie, and Sam. Most of them stayed for New Years and we had so much fun with them.

Daddy's little girl!

Grandma Welker made Abbys beautiful blessing dress. What an amazing seamstress! It is beautiful!

Abby's special Great-Grandma.

The cousins last month living by eachother

Our little Snowmen.

Dani and Sophie got to live by each other for 1 year and now Dustin, Amanda, and Sophie have moved to Thatcher. We were so sad when they left! Dani and Sophie were the best little friends. Dani asked for Sophie daily and even though they faught a lot they loved to be together.
Taking care of the beaters.
Heston and Dustin's company Christmas party.

Sharing pie with Sophie

Bathing buddies.

At the ward Christmas party Dani shared her candy cane with everyone.

Watching a movie together. Good times!
Bundled up to go to the mail box.
The girls love it when we spin them around and around in the office chair. When we get them down they are a little tipsy. Sophie walked right into Danis crib after the first spin.
The girls played in the snow and when I brought them inside Dani said "Chocolate" which meant Hot Chocolate. They sat right down on the kitchen floor and started chugging it.
Dani and Sophie were both very frightened by Santa this year. If you would have seen him you would have been scared too. One of our friends dressed up in a $20 costume that he got at Walgreens and he wore sunglasses and was very loud. They didn't want to get near him. The tears were flowing that night until Dani was introduced to candy canes and then she was in heaven.
