Moving again!

The Flagstaff Welkers are becoming the Prescott Welkers in January. Yes, we are moving... again! Hestons job is transferring him to Prescott so we are going to have to sell the beautiful house that we are building here in Flagstaff. It will be nice to be closer to Phoenix where our sisters and many friends live. Dustin and Amanda are also moving back to Safford in January so it makes it easier for us to leave. I'm sure that we will keep you all posted on what's happening with us through this wonderful blog.

Thanksgiving / Hestons Birthday.

Thanksgiving and birthday

We had a fun Thanksgiving with the Welkers and my sister Tiffany this year. It was also Hestons birthday on Thanksgiving. Everyone came here because of little baby Abby. We celebrated Hestons birthday the night before Thanksgiving. He always asks for stuffed mushrooms instead of birthday cake because he doesn't like cake. When I put the candles in the mushrooms they all started melting so he had to hold one candle and he let Dani blow it out. Then I surprised him with an oreo ice cream cake. Thanksgiving morning he told his dad that for his birthday he wanted him to play football with him so all of the guys played football while the girls cooked and then they watched the babies while we finished. It was a great Thanksgiving with delicious food.

Abby's exciting life

Dani has a new cheesy smile! I'm just glad that I can finally get pictures with her smiling. She "helped"me give Abby a bath.

Hestons cousin Shelby came to visit. Dani loves her, she calls her "Helby."
Abby had her first Dr. appointment.
Abby gave mom a big present all over her shirt!
She is the cutest little bundle!

Baby Abby is here!

Abigail Mae Welker

Our little girl is here!!!! She decided to come 3 weeks early! She is the sweetest thing ever and we love having her sweet little spirit in our home. She was born on November 14th. She weighed 7lb 3oz and she was 19 in. long. We stayed in the hospital until the next afternoon and then we got to come home so she could meet her sister for the first time. The Flagstaff hospital has a rule that no children under the age of 12 can come in during flu season so Dani didn't get to meet Abby when she came to the hospital to see her mom who missed her so much. We did take her to a glass door on the balcony and brought Abby to the other side. We told Dani that that was baby Abby and she grabbed the door handle and said "door...open it!" She tried to kiss Abby through the glass. It was so sweet. We are all home together now and happy as can be. It is so fun to have Abby in our family, we couldn't imagine life without her now. And yes, we ended up naming her Abigail Mae (after my dad - Gail) and Hestons grandma (Ila Mae) even though you all had the most votes for Emma. That may be the next girls name...unless Heston gets lucky and he gets his boy.

Home from the hospital.

Amys visit put me in to labor!

Amy and her family came and stayed the night with us because they went on the Polar express train ride and we live about 40 min. away from it. Amy and I stayed up till midnight which is nothing compared to what we used to do but it certianly wore me out. The next morning we had a big breakfast and went to see our house that we are building. I was having contractions all morning and they never stopped. I went into labor at about 11:00 that night. So Amy will be very proud to know that she put me into labor :)

Dani is very happy to have friends around. She had better get used to it soon.

Fun at the farm

Photo and video editing at www.OneTrueMedia.com Dani has been addicted to chickens lately, she talks about them all day long. So Danis grandma arranged for us to go to this fun farm when we were there visiting last weekend. When we got there we were greeted by about 6 huge turkeys who were very loud gobblers! They scared the heck out of Dani and she didn't want to be put down after that. She finally let me put her down at the end. There were tons of different animals there. There were deer, emus, goats, dogs, cats, bulls, several different kinsd of birds, roosters, and ... of course chickens! Dani got to touch several of the animals and she kept trying to feed the emu one of it's own feathers, she didn't understand why it didn't want to eat it.

Preparing for a night as a Princess

We have been reading princess stories to Dani all week trying to get her excited about being a princess for Halloween. She did get pretty in to princesses. She kept asking for the "pinchess" book. She loves it when her Daddy reads to her!
